CAUTION: OVERHEATED WAX CAN CAUSE BURNS

1) HOW TO GET STARTED

2) HOW TO HEAT THE WAX

Remove the foil seal from bottle. All traces of foil must be removed before heating.

Place the bottle on a flat surface. Attach the roller head in the cap to the bottle, ensuring it is facing the right way. The side with the arch should face the label with usage instructions. Press firmly with the palm of your hand to make sure the roller head is securely in place. Remove the cap and check that the roller head is firmly in place.

It should be impossible to remove it without using the clip feature on the front of the bottle.

  • CHECK THAT YOU HAVE REMOVED CAP AND FOIL BEFORE HEATING
  • ALWAYS MEASURE THE HEATING TIMES ACCURATELY WITH A WATCH TO AVOID THE RISK OF BURNING

Only use one method of heating: microwave or saucepan of boiling water. Do not switch between the different methods of heating even when reusing the product for several different applications. Ensure that the bottle remains upright.

A) MICROWAVE

Heat your wax as per the guidelines below. Adjust heating times according to the specific wattage of the microwave and the amount of wax left.

Recommended heating time*

650W (Full Power)

Heating Times - Full bottle: 30 seconds

Heating Times - Half bottle: 15 seconds

Waiting times (in microwave turned off):

Full bottle: 2 minutes

Half bottle: 2 minutes

Reheating times during use:

850W (Full Power)

Heating Times - Full bottle: 25 seconds

Heating Times - Half bottle: 15 seconds

Waiting times (in microwave turned off)

Full bottle: 2 minutes

Half bottle: 2 minutes

Reheating times during use:

1000W (Full Power)

Heating Times - Full bottle: 25 seconds

Heating Times - Half bottle: 15 seconds

Waiting times (in microwave turned off)

Full bottle: 2 minutes

Half bottle: 2 minutes

Reheating times during use:

DO NOT EXCEED HEATING TIMES to avoid risk of burns and prevent wax from overheating.

*The times given are approximate and may vary depending on the specific wattage of the microwave

After heating:

  • Do not use and discard if the bottle is visually deformed.
  • Always check the temperature indicator on the back of the Roll On after heating. If X is visible or wax has overspilled, wait for the X to disappear before removing bottle from the microwave.

Refer to section 3 for wax temperature check.

B) SAUCEPAN OF HOT WATER

Place sufficient water in a saucepan to heat the bottle without allowing it to float. Do not cover the saucepan. Once the water has boiled, reduce the heat to minimum, add the bottle and heat as per the table below.

Do not allow water to come into contact with wax, as this will render it ineffective.

Saucepan of hot water:

Full bottle: 6 minutes

½ bottle: 4 minutes

Reheating during use: 1 minute

Waiting time: 2 minutes

After heating:

  • Carefully remove the bottle from the water using a cloth and leave it upright on a flat surface.
  • Always check temperature indicator on the back of the Roll on after heating. If X is visible or wax has overspilled, wait for symbol to disappear before use.

Refer to section 3 for wax temperature check

3) HOW TO CHECK THE WAX TEMPERATURE

a) WARNINGS: Even if the bottle is not too hot to hold, the wax in the centre may be overheated and cause burns. Wait for 2 minutes after heating and visually check that the bottle has not deformed or that wax has not overspilled.

b) Check the wax temperature using the temperature indicator at the base of the bottle.

  • DO NOT USE IF YOU CAN SEE X ON THE BACK OF THE ROLL-ON. The wax is too hot to be used. Allow the product to cool down
  • If the temperature indicator does not show X: Put the cap on and slowly invert the bottle several times to mix.

c) Check again that X has not appeared on the back of the Roll On after mixing.

  • If X is visible, refer to section 3b.
  • If X isn’t visible, coat the roller by applying first to a fabric strip before applying to the skin. If the wax is too difficult to apply, reheat the product for a maximum of 3 seconds (microwave) or 1 minute (saucepan of hot water) and repeat section 3b.

Before waxing, carefully apply a small amount of wax on the back of the wrist to ensure it does not feel too hot. If it is, allow the wax to cool to a comfortable temperature before trying again.

4) HOW TO APPLY AND REMOVE THE WAX

For perfect application, the bottle should be rolled in the correct direction. Please ensure that the bottle is always rolled with the temperature indicator facing towards the skin.

How to apply the wax

Roll the applicator slowly in the direction of hair growth leaving a thin layer of wax. Do not roll back and forth, do not squeeze. Immediately place the strip over the wax, smoothing it on in the direction of the hair growth. Leave at least 1 cm at the bottom of the strip wax-free in order to grip when removing.

How to remove the wax

Hold the skin taut and swiftly remove the strip upwards, against the direction of hair growth keeping the wax strip as parallel as possible to the skin.

To relieve discomfort, apply pressure on your skin with your hands

The same strip can be used several times.

Veet Warm Wax Roll-on is water rinsable allowing you to wash off any residual wax

5) HOW TO USE THE WAX ON INDIVIDUAL AREAS

LEGS

  • Roll the applicator from knee to ankle.
  • Never cover the whole leg with wax in one go.
  • Remove strip in opposite direction (ie. from ankle to knee.)

UNDERARMS

Underarm hair tends to grow in 2 different directions, so requires removing in 2 stages.

  • Cut the strip to a suitable size
  • Lift the elbow up and well back for the skin to be taut.
  • For the upper part of the underarm, apply the wax by rolling up towards the elbow.
  • For the lower part of the underarm, apply the wax by rolling in the opposite direction.

Remove wax as described above.

BIKINI LINE

  • Cut the strip to a suitable size.
  • Only use on small areas at a time.
  • Hold the skin taut, applying a thin layer of wax in the direction of hair growth.
  • Remove wax as described above.

6) AFTER WAXING

Remove the roller head using the clip feature on the front of the bottle. Push upwards as shown to remove the roller head

Rinse the roller head applicator with warm water.

Dry the roller head fully before replacing it on the bottle. It is important that the wax does not come into contact with water as it becomes ineffective

When not in use store the roll-on in the upright position in a dry place with the roller head and cap assembled in position.

For next time, you can rinse the strips to reuse them.

BEAUTICIAN TIPS

Exfoliate your skin 24 hours before waxing: the wax will adhere better to the hair and will be more effective.

To soothe the skin after strip removal, immediately apply pressure with your hand.

Always wax in advance to allow time for any redness to disappear.

To avoid in-grown hair after waxing exfoliate and moisturise your skin regularly.

Precautions

Do not use on varicose veins, scars, moles, broken, irritated, sunburnt skin or on skin which has suffered an adverse reaction to waxes in the past.

Check with your doctor before using if you are on any medication which can affect the skin or if you suffer from any skin related disorder.

Waxing is not suitable for the elderly and diabetics.

Before use, TEST YOUR SKIN REACTION by applying the wax to a small part of the area you wish to treat, following the directions for use. If after 24 HOURS there is no adverse reaction, begin waxing.

If you have not waxed before we recommend starting by removing hair from the legs. Only when you have experience then progress to the sensitive areas of underarm and bikini line. On these we recommend not to wax the same area of skin twice during a waxing session.

KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. In case of ingestion, consult a doctor immediately and show the outer pack.

After waxing we recommend waiting 24 hours before using antiperspirant, another perfumed product or sunbathing.

It is normal that your skin turns red after waxing
